Thule Ladder Racks Review - 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty- Video
Jon: Hey guys, Jon 00:00:01 here for etrailer.com and today I'd like to talk to you about the Thule Xsporter Pro Ladder Rack for our 2020, Ford F250. This has a weight capacity of 450 pounds and the great thing about this is we can actually adjust the height to accommodate different loads that we might be carrying.So right now we have a six foot ladder up here on a ladder rack just to give you an idea of the length we have, obviously we can use it to carry something longer like lumber or maybe a kayak or canoe, maybe a bigger ladder than this. We have these nice load stops so we can adjust along the T-tracks here. So I want to go ahead and unload our ladder and then we're going to look a little closer at the crossbars.If we remove the screw that secures the end cap, we can remove it and gain access to our T-slot here. We can use this to load accessories, like maybe a bike rack or something like that that has T-bolts with it, or like our load stops, we're able to slide it along the T-slot by simply securing, tightening and loosening this knob. We don't have to use clamps or anything, we just loosen it up, slide it along to accommodate any loads we have. more

John: Hey guys, John here from etrailer.com. Today, I want to talk about the Thule TracRac TracOne Ladder Rack for a 2020 F-250. This is a great way to get some cargo up and out of our truck bed. Maybe it's a little bit longer, maybe it's a little heavier, but it's a way to free up truck bed space. The TracOne has an aluminum construction and it's available both in matte black, like we see on the pickup today, as well as silver. The aluminum construction is great because it means as we're loading cargo and we're scratching things up, you know, just really using the ladder rack, we don't have to worry about any scratches starting to rust or corrode. more

Hi there, heavy haulers. Today we're going to be taking a look at MaxxTow's MaxxHaul truck bed ladder rack. This ladder rack is going to allow you to take things that you would normally keep in the back of your truck bed and place them up out of the bed up on top. What's nice about this is that you can have longer items than what would normally fit in your bed, and be able to haul them flat without them just hanging out over the back. And you still have all this space here in the back while they're up top. We have up to 500 lbs of capacity on this ladder rack, to haul whatever we need. more

Hey guys, John here from etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at the Buyers Product Aluminum Matte Black Ladder Rack for a 2020 F-250. The buyer's products ladder rack has an 800 pound weight capacity, which is pretty standard. Just to give you an idea of what kind of loads we can carry, we have an eight foot ladder that is up there right now. It hovers right above our truck cab and then comes back to the rear bumper. So normally with a short bed like this, we'd have to sit at catty-corner inside the truck bed, or have it leaning up on our tailgate with this we get it up, we get it out of the way, we're not adding extra length to our truck bed. more

Pilot Bully Adjustable Ladder Rack Review- Video
Hi there heavy haulers. Today, we're going to be taking a look at Pilots adjustable ladder rack. This rack is designed to work with either full or mid-sized trucks, and has an adjustable width between 42 and a half inches up to 65 and a half inches. And you can see here on our . it's a bit old, '88 F-150, but we had no problem getting it installed. And I even like since you can place it just about wherever you want, since it just sits on our bed rails and bolts on, that we we're able to keep our headache rack in place as well as our toolbox, and it's still functional. more

Zack: Hey guys, Zack here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Thule TracRac TracONE truck bed ladder rack system on our 2020 Ford F-150. This is going to be a solid way if you're looking to carry any kind of longer items such as ladders, lumbers, I even see people throwing kayaks and standup paddle boards up here. It's a great way to clear up some space in your truck, get it up there and secure it nice and still be able to use your truck bed for all those other things.Now, I only have this partially installed. It's held in place with these C clamps. It's a pretty quick and easy way, it doesn't require any drilling and what I like about it is it allows you to kind of adjust it if you want to but we like putting ours in this configuration we have today. So, essentially what you do is you take this bolt and connect it into that foot, and we'll just tighten those down. more

Hey guys. John here from etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at the Erickson ladder rack on our 2019 Ram 2,500. A ladder rack is a great way to get some larger cargo to our destination. Whether it's loading up a ladder like this to get to our job site, or maybe a kayak or a canoe, something that's not going to fit in our bed quite right, or maybe we just need to utilize our entire truck bed for other cargo and something like this will help get some extra cargo up above our bed.Our ladder rack has an 800 pound weight capacity and also has an aluminum construction, so it is nice and sturdy for that weight capacity, but the aluminum construction means we don't have to worry about rust or anything like that. It's going to be able to hold up to the elements really well. more

Colin: Hey everyone, it's Colin here at etrailer, and today we have a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, and we're going to be doing a test fit of the Erickson truck bed ladder rack.Now as you can see, we've got it installed, we have the ladder up top right now. And having a ladder rack on your Silverado is just going to help our for getting those elongated loads over the cab of your Silverado, whether it's a ladder, maybe some lumber, some pipes. On the weekends, you can use it for kayaks or paddle boards so you don't have to try to get them in the bed of your truck and have them hanging out the back side.Now with this ladder rack, you're really getting a lot of value out of it. It's a nice and economical choice, but it's also heavy duty. So we have an 800-pound weight capacity with this ladder rack, we're going to be able to get a ton of stuff on top of it, get it secured, and that's going to help free up space inside the bed for other equipment like tools, compressors, stuff like that, and it's also going to be lightweight. So we're looking at an all aluminum construction with this, you're not adding a ton of weight to the bed of your pickup when it's empty.Now, each of these crossbars is going to have two load stops. more

Thule Ladder Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Tacoma TH500XT-XK4- Video
John: Hey guys, John here from etrailer.com, and today we have our 2019 Toyota Tacoma. We are test fitting the Thule Xsporter Pro ladder rack. It has a 450-pound weight capacity, and it is a great way to add more cargo capacity, and more area to your pickup, without having to install a roof rack, or maybe add a cargo carrier in the back. As you can see our ladder here is slightly bigger than our truck bed, and so installing a ladder rack means we can cost the ladder up there and not have to set it diagonal and take up most of the bed, or maybe have it hanging up or tailgate down, really opens up the possibility to how much more cargo you can carry with your pickup.This ladder rack system, has two different mounting options depending on if you have the deck rail system in your Tacoma or not. It normally comes with the C-clamp and it just clamps over your bed rail secures on the underside of your bed rail. I did wanna show this because it has the bracket you can take this bracket off and put it on the bracket that we are, or the clamps that we we're using today for installation, and what this bracket does is it lets you put on the locking cover. more

This is a mid-height truck bed rack. It's available in two different kits.Now, like I said, this is a fixed mid-height truck bed rack, so it cannot adjust up and down. It does sit a little bit lower than a lot of other ladder racks out there. You can see that we are at about the halfway point of our cab, maybe a little bit higher, so any super long loads we want to carry, probably not going to be the most ideal situation. more

Hi guys, Adam with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Thule TracRac system on our 2019 Chevrolet Silverado. So this TracRac system is going to be very, very convenient to get all your stuff nice and organized. I like to keep my bed of my truck pretty much clear most of the time but a lot of the times I drive around with a ladder, maybe even a kayak when I'm going kayaking and to keep that up top and maybe keep some of my other gear in the bed of the truck is ideal, this TracRac is going to allow you to do that.Thule did keep in mind that you want to protect your truck so what they did was they threw in these little rubber pieces right here and that's going to protect your bed rails from getting scratches or abrasions. Also, it is a very, very nice design. It's got a very sturdy structure with a nice powder coated finish so it's going to resist against rust and corrosion. more

This TracRac system is going to have 65 inches across the top, and it's a very universal fit. On this GMC Sierra, it was a very install.This is going to be great for storing your ladders and also you can store your kayaks or paddle boards, basically anything that is too long to fit into your bed, you can store up here on your ladder rack.As you can see, with our ladder strapped to our ladder rack up top, we can use our whole entire bed for whatever you may need.So this ladder rack is made of aluminum, and it's going to be able to hold up to 800 pounds of cargo that may store on top of your rack. This is going to be a very universal fit. Basically you can adjust it up top here to accommodate for whatever truck you have at your business or at home. more

Yakima BedRock HD Truck Bed Cargo Rack Review- Video
Hey, today we're going to be checking out the Yakima Bedrock HD tower truck bed rack system. You can see we've already got it in place here. Basically, it's very similar to a roof rack except for that we can mount it to our truck bed rails. I've got a bike rack with a bike installed and a surfboard mounted to it, but you're going to be able to carry ski racks, kayak racks, cargo boxes, cargo baskets. There's even a Yakima sky rise tent that can be mounted to these HD bars allowing us to have tent access above our truck bed.Now it mounts to the top of our truck bed rails. It doesn't sit up too high though. more

Today we're gonna be checkin' out Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack with Cantilever.With this system you get way more than your traditional ladder rack. You get an abundance of features and you get more loading space. The included cantilever extends over the roof of your truck, expanding the amount of storage space available.The cantilever extends 32" from your front rail. You'll get a whopping 1,250 pounds carrying capacity distributed evenly across your rack. If you're using your cantilever up there, it does reduce it down to 1,000 pounds but that's still plenty of space and carrying capacity for anything you throw up there.We've currently got ladders up on our rack, but with it's massive carrying capacity, you could put lumber, steel, PVC pipes, and just about anything and secure it tightly with the load stops found on each corner.Now with the ladders removed, I'll show you it's coolest feature. The tops will slide individually from one another, allowing you to collapse it down and get the maximum use out of your truck bed when you need that vertical space or you could adjust it for shorter ladders and loads, while still maintaining half of your truck bed for taller objects.This is unlike other ladder racks that are set in a fixed position which require you to remove them completely if you need full truck bed access. more

Buyers Products Ladder Racks Review - 2016 Ford F-150- Video
Today on our 2016 Ford F-150, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Buyers Products Over-The -Cab Truck Bed Ladder Rack. I've already got it in place just to give you a good idea of what it looks like. As you can see, it's going to allow us to carry those elongated items over our cab; so things like ladders, lumber, PVC, anything like that, it's going to work out nicely. I've got more than enough clearance between my cab and the underside of the bar, so we don't need to worry about anything coming in contact with it.Now my F-150 also has a six-and-a-half foot bed here, but it'll work out nicely with a five-and a-half foot bed, eight-foot bed, any one of those. Now the whole thing is made out of a steel construction with a 1,000 pound weight capacity, so we've got more than enough to carry our gear. Also in each corner, I'd like to point out that we have a variety of tie down loops to work with: hooks, straps, rope, anything that we need to tie down our gear. more

Thule Ladder Racks Review - 2019 Ram 1500 Classic- Video
Today on our 2019 Ram 1500 Classic, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Thule Xsporter Pro Adjustable Height Truck Bed Ladder Rack, which is part number TH500XT. This also does come in black under part number TH500XTB.This ladder rack is a great tool to have that'll allow you to haul any longer items above the bed of your pickup, and freeing up space inside the bed for other tools or other items or equipment. It's also going to help prevent you from having to travel with your tailgate down, which we all know that could sometimes be a hassle or could be more of a struggle or more of a risk, I should say.The rack itself has an adjustable height. How you would do that, if you're going to do it by yourself, I would suggest being in the truck bed and in the middle. What you would do is you would come and loosen both of these hand knobs right here. Once you get both sides, you can adjust it to whatever height you desire, whether you want it lower, like more towards the height of your cab, or if you want it a lot higher than your cab, you can do that as well. more

Thule Ladder Racks Review - 2019 Ram 1500 Classic TH27000XTB- Video
Today we have a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic. We're going to be taking a look at the Thule TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack, which is part number TH27000XTB. This ladder rack is a great accessory to have so that you can haul longer items about your truck bed and a bit over the cab of your truck, freeing up the space inside your bed for other tools and equipment or whatever else you might want to put back there.Now, as far as temporary ladder racks go, meaning that we can remove this pretty easily whenever we want because of the clamp system, it has a 800 pound weight capacity which is very high for temporary ladder racks. Most of the time you're going to have a lower weight capacity to get up there. To get up to that weight capacity you're going to need one of the permanent ones that has more support.I'm going to go ahead and climb up so I can show you a little bit more about this. Now, it has a nice matte black powder coat finish which is going to be resistant to rust and corrosion. more
